Position Overview
The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of UDV Architects, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and maintaining financial compliance. This role plays a key part in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the company, working closely with the management team to provide insights that support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Accounting
- Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, invoices, and expense tracking.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Oversee payroll processing and statutory declarations in collaboration with HR or external partners.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide monthly variance analysis to management.
- Support project-based financial planning and cost control.
- Ensure that projects are financially viable and aligned with studio objectives.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare periodic financial reports, cash flow statements, and profit/loss statements.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax authorities as needed.
- Support financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
Strategic Support
- Provide financial insights to support management decisions.
- Identify opportunities to optimize operational costs and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in a finance/accounting role, preferably in a professional services or design environment.
- Strong knowledge of Albanian tax laws, accounting standards, and financial reporting practices.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Excel, QuickBooks, or similar accounting platforms).
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Albanian.
- Integrity, discretion, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
